Golden Triangle

Golden Triangle

In addition to the section of Route 9 that forms the border of the Golden Triangle described above, Route 9 extends through Framingham, with a large number of shopping, dining, and other services serving local and regional customers. This includes hubs of activity at Framingham Centre and the Technology Park area at Mass Pike Exit 12.- Framingham Centre has a mix of businesses and shopping that caters to both the residential neighborhoods and the students at Framingham State University.
- Technology Park, at the intersection of Route 9 at MassPike Exit 12, is often referred to as 9/90. The businesses here include a major hotel and restaurants that cater to both the large and small businesses in the Tech Park and 9/90 Office Park.
Downtown
Downtown shopping and dining has a more ethnic and artsy character. Centered on the section of Concord Street (Route 126) between Lincoln Street and Irving Streets, Downtown includes retail stretching east-west along Waverly Street (Route 135). A number of great restaurants including traditional Brazilian, Irish pubs, Italian family, and various great pizza and deli options complement the live performing arts at the Amazing Things Arts Center and a number of other venues in the downtown offering live musical entertainment.
Neighborhood Convenience
Nobscot and Saxonville also have small neighborhood retail centers that offer basic services like dry cleaners, hardware stores, and local convenience stores.
- The Nobscot Shopping Center is at the intersection of Edgell and Edmands Roads in the north western part of town.
- The Saxonville Mills and Pinefield Shopping Center are both located in Saxonville. The historic Saxonville Mills contains a number of different businesses, including the Saxonville Mills Cafe & Roastery, as well as a small group of artists who rent space in the old mill. It is located on Concord Street (Route 126) and Pinefield is on Water Street at the intersection with Nicholas Road, just north of the historic mill complex.
