Thanks to the generosity of The Longfellow Sports Club we are able to offer this event at no-cost.     Dub Apocalypse is an instrumental dub reggae band from Boston,MA. The lineup includes Tommy Benedetti (drums), Timo Shanko (Sax/Bass), Johnny Trama (gtr), Van Martin (gtr) and Aaron Bellamy (bass). They have created their own unique sound that fuses the militant toughness of Sly and Robbie, and Scientist productions, with a balanced twin guitar attack, explosive Coltrane inspired sax, and a healthy dose of improvisation. The band plays a mix of classic Jamaican tunes and dub plates from the 70s and early 80s, mixed with their own compositions. Featuring current and former members of John Brown’s Body, Ghosts of Jupiter, Morphine and G Love and Special Sauce, DA brings decades of combined experience from clubs,theaters and festivals around the globe to the stage every night.
